Volunteer Opportunities

The Canyon View Foundation is looking for parents, family members, teachers, staff, and others from the community to help us continue to contribute to Canyon View's academic excellence.   

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

Silent Auction - Volunteers to help with contacting local businesses, securing donations, database management, item organization, making basket descriptions, basket wrapping, cutting and gluing, room coordinating for room baskets, cashiering, set-up and tear-down. .

Program Chair – Each year the Foundation has a major focus.  For example, last year we purchased Doc-U-Cams for the classrooms and the prior year we raised funds to resurface the running track. The Program Chair is the key contact person for the main program for the calendar year and reports back any pertinent information or progress to the Foundation.

Public Relations – The Foundation is looking for someone to help with our communications and our main events who is talented in graphics, flyer set-up, and communications. This person would be the point of contact for the other committees as regards publications and communications. This will not be a difficult task for someone who is capable of creating flyers and working with these types of software.

Volunteer/Recruiter - Our goal is to make volunteering through the Foundation fun and rewarding while not being a burden to ourselves or our families.  We can do this by having many volunteers, each with a reasonable workload, rather than a few volunteers carrying a heavy, time consuming burden.  We are looking for someone to help locate and recruit volunteers through various Foundation communications, personal contacts, Canyon View families, and local business contacts.

General - We can always use help, even if it is just for an hour or two, with general Foundation activities like copying, mailing, decorating, you name it!  We'd love to have you as part of our team!
